It’s Treacle Time!

Being the second pie up, Treacle on Broughton Street was recommended by Katie aka @edin_eats. Treacle is one of Katie’s favourite eateries and i amongst others are very happy she shared it with the #edinpieup gals! It was a shakey start to the pie up with mum’s on Forrest Rd but Treacle has truly climbed to the top of my hit list! @edin_eats @21_urbhousewife and Myself opted for the spinach, sweet potato and goats cheese pie, whilst @edinburghcake had noodles with duck, @madebyfi ate chicken and bacon pie @wine_and_olives @insideoutchef had a chicken burger and @thegiantteacup had steak pie! The plates were licked clean! Everyone was delighted with what they choose. My pie was filled to the brim with veg and creamy goats cheese, the chips and salad leaves went a treat too! After just the first course I knew I was going back!

We all opted for pudding … The deep fried brioche with strawberry jam was the “hot cake” as all of us apart from 2 of us ordered it! I shared with @thegiantteacup as didn’t think I could cope with the entire thing and thank goodness we did!! But it was nomnastic what ever the critics say!

@insideoutchef ordered the bounty and lime cheesecake and @wine_and_olives opted for a martini -classy! Well jel as I was driving! I am recommending Treacle to you all as its value for money, the food is fabulous and the staff are friendly and professional! Go and get sticky with Treacle! Lol
